    KING OF THE CATS

    Challenge the King

    Royal privilege: the King automatically goes first. Without the King, everyone rolls for the first turn. Royal starts do not count toward opening-roll achievements.

    Beat the reigning King in a completed multiplayer match to take the crown. Dethrone bonus: 750 XP. Successful defense: 150 XP.

    Complete a multiplayer match every 72 hours to keep the crown. A warning appears after 24 hours. If it expires, the active player with the most lifetime wins takes over. Ties go to whoever reached that total first.

    Royal XP requires both opponents to finish active, roll at least 3 times each, and play for at least 2 minutes. One royal bonus per opponent pair every 24 hours; maximum 1,500 royal XP per player per 24 hours. Crown transfers and defenses still count when bonus XP is unavailable. Solo, shared-device and duplicate-profile games do not qualify.

        • Build at least 1,000 in one turn to get on the board. After that, bank at least 250 per turn.
        • Bank up to a total of 9,750. Above that, keep rolling for exactly 10,000. Going over loses the turn’s points.
        • Exactly 10,000 wins immediately. No final round.
        • Ones and triples must be kept. Four matching dice score as a triple, plus the extra die if it is a 1 or 5.
        • The first 5 encountered in a turn may be rerolled. All later 5s must be kept. With two initial 5s, only one is optional.
        • If the optional 5 is the only scoring die, you may reroll every available die and continue.
        • Sets must come from one roll. No scoring dice means losing the turn’s points; banked points stay safe.
        • Score all five dice and you may roll all five again, keeping the turn’s points. The first-5 allowance does not reset.

        Prototype interpretation: straights and five-of-a-kind score automatically. The optional-5 rule does not break apart a triple, straight, or five-of-a-kind.
